Dear Parents/Guardians:

 

Yesterday, we went into a level one alert and had students “stay put” while we investigated a threatening message written in a classroom. We immediately began a search of the building to make sure that an evacuation pathway was safe, in the event we would need to use it. After students were removed from the specific classroom, nothing was found to indicate the threat was real or that we were in imminent danger. It is also very likely the message had been there for an extended time, just never noticed. We were in lockdown for about fifteen minutes.
