PTA Council Meeting Minutes

January 19, 2010

Attendance: Linda Kalasinski, Peggy Smith, Sue Caldwell, Colleen Benedetto, Gregg Zeman, Denise Rudolph, Belinda Fitzgerald, Jen Prusinowski, Sarah Hoffmann, Lisa Basil, Sharon Sharrow, Cathy Conroy

Call to order:

Secretary’s Report – minutes approved from the October 27^th meeting.

Treasurer’s Report – unit dues still owed from Glen-Worden and Glendaal. Changes were made to the current budget and an updated budget will be emailed under separate copy.

Officer’s Reports/Committees –

Reflections – reception date is tentatively set for March 10th. There were 121 entries this year. 45 are going onto the district competition.

Founders Day – Dinner is February 2nd at the Riverstone Manor, 6:00 pm is social hour with dinner following at 6:30.

Administration/BOE Report – building referendum is moving along as scheduled. Early input into the budget process is being requested by BOE members. Please contact a board member for more information on how to be heard.

School Reports – all schools report holiday festivities went well.

Glendaal – Father/Daughter Dance is next up.

Glen-Worden - recently hosted a “Mime” program that was well received.

Lincoln – will be hosting a Valentines Day Dance.

Sacandaga – food drive and Fabulous Friday’s are upcoming.

Middle School – Teen Town for 7/8 graders is 1/29.

SGTA - plans are under way to have a team building, meet and greet type get together to help staff members get to know each other.
